PREAMBLE

A meeting of representatives of  a majority of  Malayalee Samajams covered by Thane Subarban areas in June,2001and subsequent two follow-up meetings arranged by Wagle Estate Malayalee Association (WEMA )and Rabodi Malayalee Samajam respectively deliberated on the requirement of coming together of all Malayalee Associations of Thane to work together on common interests and goals. At the Rabodi meeting on 17th  Feb.,2002 a core, Ad-hoc committee consisting of following personnel was formed to proceed further in the matter:-

The Ad-hoc Committee held its first meeting at Kairali Samajam office premises, Kalwa on 2nd March,2002. Out of the suggestions from the members present , the name “All Thane Malayalee Association” as suggested by Mr.Bharatan Menon was unanimously accepted by the committee as title for the proposed organization. The Committee  appointed a five member Core Committee to draft the by-laws of the proposed organization.
